Anti-Piracy Solution for AutoCAD Plugins
To access a Dinkey Pro dongle from AutoCAD, you must call an ActiveX DLL using Visual LISP (AutoLISP). This ActiveX control is an intermediary layer that calls our standard Runtime protection module. This means that you only have to register the ActiveX control once per computer even if you have different projects protected to their own dongle. However, we recommend that you rename the Runtime module for each different product that you protect.
You need to register the ActiveX control using regsvr32 before it can be used.
We supply the ActiveX control in both 32-bit and 64-bit formats so that both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of AutoCAD are supported.
We provide sample code in AutoLISP showing how you can call the Active X module and communicate with the dongle through the standard Runtime module.
